Make America Rational Again:
Following the Presidential election of 2016 the Rational Dress Society launched a campaign called Make America Rational Again. The project solicited the donation of used (and emphatically discarded!) Ivanka Trump brand clothing. We set out to recycle these pieces into 100% post-consumer recycled Special-Edition-JUMPSUIT.
In 2019 the RDS was invited by Haverford College to be the lead artists in residence for a Philadelphia Area Creative Collaborative (PACC). Working with Lis Evans and Helen White of Haverford College, the RDS was able to develop several test samples of post-consumer downcycled textiles from the collected Ivanka Trump Garments.
