Abigail Glaum-Lathbury is a tenured Associate Professor of Fashion Design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she teaches a range of courses from collection design and portfolio development to technical pattern cutting and draping courses.


In addition to her university teaching, she has led workshops and studio courses at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago, CENTRO in Mexico City, Mexico and has recorded a series of instructional videos for the Fashion Resource Center.

She has lectured widely on her work in fashion, design and activism, and was a member of the faculty with the Arts Research Collective where she taught experimental patternmaking and sewing classes.
